Renowned Nigerian singer Fave, real name Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, has come out to criticize a Ugandan promoter, accusing him of poor treatment and underpayment.
At the start of this month, Fave arrived in Uganda as a headlining act as the Wahala marked three years of operation.
Held on 2 September 2026, the event took place at Thrones Kampala, one of the hangout spots in Kampala, registering a resounding success.
Sharing her experience in Uganda, however, the singer expressed her disappointment with the event promoter, saying it is people like him who make it hard for foreigners to have nice things to say about Uganda.

She claimed that she was brought into the country for so much less than her worth and was treated disrespectfully. Given her love for Uganda, Fave says she ignored all the challenges.

It’s people like you and that silly promoter that make it hard for people to have nice things to say about Uganda. Brought me to your country for so much less than I’m worth and still treated me like shit. But I ignored because of my love for Uganda
