Muslims in Entebbe on Thursday clashed bitterly over their piece of land located next to Entebbe Cinema Hall after it emerged that a clique at the Masjid Taqwa mosque conspired and secretly sold it off to an unknown Indian Investor at Shs 800m early this month. Kassim Bukenya (chairman), Twaha Sempebwa (Secretary), Hadadi Sanja (Treasurer) and a one Sadiq Ali the welfare manager were accused of carrying out the dirty deal to sell of the piece of land that former President and no-nonsense man Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada allocated to the Muslims in Entebbe way back in 1976.
With police surrounding the mosque and armed to the teeth a group of angry muslims led by MP Kawuma Mohammed and a moslem chief Matovu Edirisa organized a heated meeting and demanded to know why the above named cash hungry fellas have been playing monkey tricks after they dubiously sold off the piece of land in addition to pocketing shs.900, 000 monthly rent from the six lock ups located at the mosque meant to benefit all the Muslims including a washing bay located at the now contentious piece of land. Sadiq Ali was put in a tight corner and grilled by the angry Muslims to explain and vomit all the cash they have been pocketing from the six lock ups, washing bay and piece of land as well as failing to pay the chocking water bill that had risen to Shs 140,000. The cash hungry fella stormed out of the mosque sweating plasma and trembling after he failed to answer the burning questions from the poor muslims. Sempebwa Twaha, Kassim Bukenya and Hadadi Sanja switched off their phones and didn’t appear in the meeting. They have since gone into hiding. The angry Muslims suspended the accused indefinitely and appointed a new committee that includes Twale (Muslim county), Shura and Imam Ali Muziru who will oversee and manage their properties for the next two months. We have also highly established that the Indian investor is demanding for compensation over the piece of land that he legally bought.
