KCCA Executive director,Jenifer Musisi has fired a one Dirisa Kyewalabye, a man who commanded Friday’s operation that saw the closure of Club Ambiance, Bukesa.
According to KCCA spokesman Peter Kaujju, Kyewalabye was relieved of his duties because there are several complaints that have been lodged against him by Kampala residents.
Kyewalabye, who has been the head of operations in KCCA and has commanded the demolition and closure of several buildings in Kampala with the latest, being Club Ambiance.
Club Ambiance’s premises have since last Friday been a no go area after they were sealed off by KCCA. The club was allegedly closed for having been constructed in a road reserve, a slippery floor, which is a risk to party goers, especially those that are drunk were among the issues the letter from KCCA ordered to be addressed.
The irony about its closure is that it was shut down on a Friday, a night that runs under the theme of campus night. Inspite KCCA officials arriving at the popular nightspot at 6pm, some campusers were already zonked up after heavy drinking spree.
Unfortunately their party was cut short when security operatives that accompanied the KCCA officials ordered them out together with the Club DJs, who were scratching the mixing decks like their hands were itching.
