President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Yoweri Museveni has made new changes and promotions in the leadership of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces.
In the latest changes, Museveni promoted Charity Bainabaabo from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.
He subsequently appointed her Deputy Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC)
Bainabaabo, who is also one of the army’s representatives in Parliament, will be deputizing Brig Felix Bisoroozi, who was appointed Commander of the elite unit of the army, charged with the personal security of the president and the First Family, back in January.

In other changes, as announced by the UPDF spokesman Felix Kulayigye’, Museveni promoted Col David Mugisha to Brigadier General and appointed him Second in Command of the 3rd Division.
Meanwhile, Lt Col Nathan Nabimanya was promoted to Col and appointed Commander of the Special Forces Group.
