National Resistance Movement aspiring Member of Parliament Peace Biyiingiro Salamuka has begun spitting fire at her arch-rival and senior Presidential advisor Patience Mubangizi who is also fighting tooth and nail to achieve her long time dream to join Parliament. The two former allies bitterly fell out and no longer see eye to eye after Salamuka quit Mubangizi’s camp and declared her interest to run for Parliament a few months ago. Salamuka who at first had expressed interest in running for the Entebbe Municipality LCV Seat gave up on the post and has since set her eyes on grabbing the parliamentary seat that DP’s Mohamed Kawuma will vacate next year after serving for two terms. Sources close to Mubangizi have accused Salamuka of hobnobbing with FDC Party bosses in Entebbe in addition to secretly attending their party functions. Some of Mubangizi’s diehard supporters claim that Salamuka is being fronted by the opposition Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) to spoil their aspirants votes during the party primaries that will be held this year.
However Salamuka dismissed the allegations as mere talk aimed at tarnishing her good name. The two former allies who are threatening to squeeze each other’s boobs and are behaving like co-wives held rival functions in Nakiwogo Banga last weekend on Sunday to prove who would pull the biggest crowd. Sources close to the two die hard ‘yellow girls’ intimated that Mubangizi’s camp rushed to organize a football gala after they were tipped off that Salamuka had mobilized several NRM women in Entebbe to officially launch their SACCO Bugaga Kwewayo aimed at lifting them out of the serious biting poverty.
