    MP Tumusiime Warns Lousy Parents Over Mistreating Disabled Children.

    The Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Tumusiime has warned parents over mistreating and ostracizing their disabled Children. Hon.Tumusiime who was speaking during the Entebbe Children’s Welfare Primary School sports day on Sunday bashed parents who marginalize and mistreat their disabled Children. She said that all Children are a gift from God and deserve to be treated with respect. She urged all residents to report all irresponsible parents who are marginalizing and mistreating their disabled Children. Hon. Tumusiime disclosed that some parents with disabled Children have a habit of locking them up and denying them their rights including refusing to take them to school.

    She hailed the Entebbe Children’s welfare school Head mistress Christine Mugwanya, teachers and school management committee for their tireless efforts to teach and shape disabled children into responsible citizens. Hon. Tumusiime pledged to donate chairs and tables to the school in addition to mobilizing all disabled Members of Parliament to visit and support the school.

    Good Samaritans from the Megha Industries donated two sacks of beans and rice to the school.

    Meanwhile the school Headmistress Christine Mugwanya revealed that the school is dire need of funds to construct a dining hall for the kids. She also revealed that some parents careless about visiting and checking on their children and to make matters worse they don’t want to pay school fees.

    The Entebbe Children’s Welfare School started in 1985 and at the moment it has 64 pupils (31 boys and 33 girls).
