Minister For Agriculture, Animal Industry & Fisheries, Tress Bucyanayandi has fired the National Animal Genetic Resources Centre &Data Bank Boss, Dr D.K.N. Ssemambo from office over mismanagement and incompetence. The senior government minister fired his junior officer after mismanaging several government programs and projects including the Artificial Breeding Centre in Entebbe. The minister fired him in his letter dated, 05thOctober 2015 and copied to other senior government officers including the permanent secretary MAAIF,NAGRC&DB Board Chairman John Nkuuhe and Director Animal Resources. The minister fired him following a bloody meeting on the 19th August 2015 and it was resolved and zeroed down not to renew Dr, Ssemambo’s reappointment over frustrating and failing several government projects and programs including mismanaging government animals farms, poor staff relationship and unauthorized sale of government animals. The minister ordered frustrated Dr. Ssemambo to vacate office and hand over the office keys to the newly appointed acting boss, Dr. Wilberforce Kifudde also one of the most longest serving senior staff at NAGRC&DB. And in a letter written the 02 November 2015, the former NAGRC boss was requested to handover office in two weeks to the new acting top boss which has sparked off a bitter row and cold war between the senior top government minister and his former junior officer now fighting tooth and nail not to vacate office after a dirty report pinning him down over messing up several government programs. The fired government officer has run to the IGG Irene Mulyagonja Kakooza’s office to intervene and bail him out after the government minister kicked him out of office over incompetence.
