Three government officials are cursing like hell after arresting them over dirty deals in Mbale city
The trio whose identities are withheld were arrested on the orders of the Mayor Muhammood Masaba Mutenyo after conning local residents in Bunamwani village.
The crafty officials working under the Mbale city law enforcement team were nabbed and detained at Mbale police station.
“I have been receiving enormous complaints from the public about these law enforcement officers who extort money from them claiming that they are the Industrial city division staffs”, says Mayor.
He also warned corrupt officials and given them a red flag with a mission to make industrial city division a model Division in the region.
“Restructuring is in place, we need to first educate our masses about the New taxes and policies in the city before we implement.” Masaba said
“I want them to follow the law, any Government worker who wants to work with me should not oppress the local people and involve in corruption and extortion of money”.
We have no housing plans in Nabuyo-Bugema Town council, Mutoto and Bukasakya the newly added Sub-counties to the city.” Masaba noted
