Entebbe Municipality Mayor Kayanja Vincent DePaul has warned all his haters to back off over Katabi and Manyango Housing Estates Deal that has raised a lot of dust these days. Mayor Kayanja who was speaking at a campaign rally in Katabi Zone on Saturday said that his haters are fighting tooth and nail to sabotage the lucrative deal that will benefit all residents of Entebbe. Mayor Kayanja revealed that over 2000 residents will be given a chance to rent apartments at Shs 70,000 as opposed to giving the houses to the sitting tenants who are on his throat to abandon the project. Kayanja said that the sitting tenants will be given an opportunity to buy apartments once the apartments are finished. He said that the project will bring development to Entebbe and generate hundreds of jobs.
However the Manyango tenants’ spokesman Henry Okech slammed Mayor Kayanja and said that he is just playing around and telling lies because he has never produced an architectural master plan for the proposed houses. Okech said that Mayor Kayanja and his cronies have an ill motive of giving away the land to a yet to be identified investor.
