    Man Beaten to Death Just Days after he was Released from Jail

    A 24 year old former convict has been murdered  just days after being released from jail where he served a 2 years sentence.

    The deceased, Anatori Musinguzi was killed in his mother’s house just 4 days after he was discharged from prison where he had served two years for theft.

    Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson says the incident occurred on Sunday night   at around 11pm in Gisorora Parish, Nyakabande Sub County, Kisoro District.

    Maate saye that Musinguzi was killed by unknown people as he returned home.

    His mother, Cecelia Nyirahabakwiha told police that her son came running home, pushed the door and entered the house in panic.

    Moments later she says, the killers came chasing him and pushed the door and warned her  against making an alarm. Later these entered the deceased’s bed room, pulled him outside and killed him as the mother watched watched.

    Maate says the mother told police that her son was a thief whom she suspects was killed by people he could have offended before.

    Maate says that Musinguzi body had multiple cut wounds on the head and a smashed face.

    The body was later taken to Kisoro hospital for postmortem.
