Singer Lydia Jazmine has addressed allegations that her friendship with fellow singer Sheebah Karungi ended.
Speaking in a recent one-on-one YouTube interview, Lydia Jazmine said she met Sheebah Karungi when she was just starting out her career, and together they joined Team No Sleep alongside Bakri, Akay, King Saha, and Pallaso.
They have been through the journey of ups and downs, but have still stayed very close despite claims that female friendships do not last.
“We have come through the journey; she is someone I have been seeing, and I have been around her. We are still friends, something that is rare, especially with women. Being in a friendship for all these years is very hard. I love her and respect her for that,” Jazmine said.

When tasked with mentioning what made Sheebah a special friend, causing all those around her to brag about her, Jazmine described her as a hard worker and a talented artist who has made it through the male-dominated industry.

“As I know her, being around her, you learn a lot. I think Sheebah is one of those people who will tell you her story, and you realize it hasn’t been easy for her, but you see her fighting and surviving in the male-dominated industry all these years. It makes her special, and she inspires many women, and she is a good advisor, very mature in reasoning,” Lydia Jazmine said.
