Prisoners from Luzira Upper Prison have appreciated singer Spice Diana for the numerous charities she has done and the way she welcomes people.
The award was presented to Spice Diana at the airport as she had just landed from China and was presented by Success Reagan Mugalula, a former inmate who had spent eight years behind bars and was only released last month.
Reagan, who was beaming with happiness after seeing his idol for the first time, knelt as he delivered his speech.
“Dear Spice Diana, your behavior and style of your music have not only encouraged us, but we as inmates have copied your good work of charity, and we embrace you as a charity champion,” Spice Diana read the message on the award loud out before the cameras.

Reagan explained that the inmates chose Spice, the only female artist amongst their best/top three, because of the good things she has done for them and how well she treats other people.

“They didn’t have money for the glass award and decided to make their own, locally. It was very small, but they thought you would appreciate it. They love you so much, and they requested that you visit them at their upcoming concert on Independence Day. Thank you so much. Please continue with the charity that you are doing,” Reagan said.
Spice Diana promised she would put the award in her office and also vowed to visit them in person soon.
“These are some of the things that motivate me. To see that there are people who appreciate and do not even stop at that but reach out to you physically,” she said.
