    LC3 Chairman Namayirira Quits Dirty Politics

    A senior local council chief has called it quits from politics after democratic party leadership fighting him over his mayoral ambitions in Entebbe. Stanley Namayirira also the division ‘B’ chairman has lost his political ambitions after falling-out with Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul over the same seat.

    The two have parted ways and split the democratic party into factions over political ambitions. We have highly established that the war  started from  Mayor Kayanja Depaul standing for another term in office after two consecutive terms.

    This has sparked a bitter row amongst party members over  Kayanja  bouncing back for 3rd  term after it was agreed within the party members that every party member stands for two terms in  office and nothing more or less.

    Off the record, Namayirira was promised that after Mayor Kayanja stepping down from office, then will in position to take the seat after him serving one term in office.

    The biggest  number of party members have not supported Kayanja stepping on every body’s toes but for the good of the party, they have abide to swallow their spit and let Kayanja run for 3rd term while  Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa will be contesting against  the area Member of parliament Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako.

    Several other individuals contesting for the mayoral race include three NRM party diehards Fabrice Rulinda, Herman Kiruwero, and Mutebi Micheal Kabwama.
