Entebbe Aspiring LC3 Div ‘B’ Chairman, Sempala Twaha is in hot soup after exchanging blows and kicks with the newly elected, Kigungu area councilor on Thursday at the division offices. The staunch NRM party diehard thumped councilor Richard Ssekyondo in a bloody scuffle that left him limping and speaking in tongues. The former division speaker squeezed the councilor’s throat after a bitter row that erupted from both NRM party supporters and Democratic party supporters over threatening to boycott the voting process to elect the elderly councilors. The noisy fight followed after Democratic Party supporters voted the former Kiwafu Central area LC 1 Lumu Paul in a tight race against NRM party candidate, Kawooya Paulino as the elderly representative at the division level. The aspiring chairman and the NRM party organizing secretary, Tamuzadde Ssenfuka ganged up and mingled several Democratic Party supporters in the fracas. The case has been reported at the Kitoro police post under file no SD.Ref. 70/10/3/16.
