    Lands Boss Dragged To Court Over Stealing Land.

    A Lands Protection Unit officer Charles Mukasa Walugembe is in hot soup after he was dragged to court over acquiring land title by false pretense. The crafty man a resident of Ssazi/lulongo village in Kasanje sub county Wakiso District was last week on Wednesday dragged to court after he evicted residents from a piece of land way back on march 9, 2012 claiming it belonged to him and wanted to redevelop it. The foxy fella falsely obtained registration of the disputed land on block no. 598-559 plot 110 camouflaging to be the genuine owner. He denied all the charges before the chief magistrate and was handed a shs 2m cash bail while his sureties were handed cash bail of shs 500,000 each. The case was adjourned till 6th January 2016 when he returns to court for mention of his case.
