Grief stricken Uganda Police Chief Gen. Kale Kayihura has described his fallen Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Andrew Felix Kaweesi as an irreplaceable officer in the Police Force. Gen. “Sometime back the hit men threatened to hit the Uganda Police Force ‘where it hurts’ and now they have murdered Kaweesi. This isn’t the first time such an incident is happening. Joan Kagezi, Maj. Kiggundu, several Sheikhs and now Andrew Felix Kaweesi have been killed under similar circumstances. I would like to inform the public that many of the thugs and hit men have been arrested and have confessed to executing the murders”, Kayihura told mourners who gathered at Late Kaweesi’s residence on Friday for an overnight vigil.
Kayihura told the mourners that the Late Kaweesi has fallen as a fighter and called on the Public to continuously remain vigilant and embrace the neighborhood watch security measure.
“What has befallen us is a tragedy. Kaweesi together with his driver and body guard have fallen as fighters. I appeal to the public to remain security conscious and vigilant. Let us dedicate ourselves to do what the Late Kaweesi was doing. They are fallen heroes who will keep inspiring us to do more”, Kayihura said.

The Late Andrew Felix Kaweesi was gunned down on Friday morning ata round 9:30am by unknown assailants 100 meters from his residence in Kulambiro. He was heading to Uganda Christian University Mukono where he was scheduled to address students on the opportunities of serving in the armed forces.
