Buganda Kingdom Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga left Entebbe Municipality and Busiro South a happy man with lot’s of smiles on his face. The top Kabaka confidant bagged shs 60m from Busiro South on Wednesday and Shs 28m from Entebbe Municipality on Thursday. For the last two days the Buganda Premier has been traversing the two constituencies’ non-stop in a bid to collect cash to revamp the Kabaka’s Lake that is in poor shape and soon drying up. He made several stop-over’s in Entebbe including Entebbe Airport where he collected Shs 10m from Civil Aviation Authority and Shs 2.4m from Uganda Clearing and Forwarding Association (UCIFA) while at Protea Hotel he collected Shs 3m. He made other stop-over’s at Chang Sha Primary School, Magala and Nakiwogo Market, Kigungu landing site, Ssiena Beach Hotel, Entebbe Municipal Council where he collected Shs 2m and also planted a tree, flight motel and wrapped up the day at Leisure park Kitoro.
He warned Kabaka’s subjects to guard against politicians who preach hatred and don’t wish well for the Kabaka and Buganda Kingdom. He also urged the public to work hard and be self reliant.
