Kalangala residents are cursing security agencies and police for choking them on tear gas on Wednesday during the running battles with presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu before flying him back to Kampala in a military chopper.
Security agencies and police were ferried from Kampala to Kalangala in big numbers including police trucks, pickups to counter suffocate Bobby wine’s political arrangements and campaigns.
There was tight security along the Lake Victoria peninsula and different routes to Kalangala including Lutoboka, Bukakata lake shores and other routes to Kalangala.
Kalangala turned a battle field with roaring guns plus tear gas smoke in the air after Bobby Wine landing in the area where it is suspected he spent a night and beat police at its own game following a security meeting the previous evening (Tuesday).
The whole town was all filled with cloudy smoke that spilled over to health centers and left young babies yelling with their mothers breathing hard.
Bobby wine with his area field commanders had running battles with security agents before the arrest of the big-fish including Eddie Mutwe, Nubian, Hon Mpuuga, Helen Nakimuli plus other including media fox.
The area Deputy RDC Bakunda Mushambo was the man behind the brain to suffocate Bobby’ campaign trail in several areas including Kachanga ,Bugoma and Kalangala town on addition to the media clash-ups.
Two media personalities were roughed up including destroying their gadgets for covering Bobby’s campaign and these included Daily Monitor Derrick Wandera and BBS TV reporter Culton Scovia Nakamya.
Over seventy different individuals were arrested during Bobby wine’s campaign trail before he was whisked away and flown back to Kampala in a military chopper
