Ugandan singer Jackie Chandiru has expressed her disappointment with creatives who have openly disgraced Bebe Cool by alleging non-payment.
During her recent interview, Jackie Chandiru defended the Gagamel singer, saying it was uncalled for for the creatives to air their grievances on social media.
In her argument, everyone was in debt, including the world’s richest people, and the judgement on Bebe Cool for the money owed was unfair.
“I have people I’ve been demanding money from since last year. A debt is something normal because even the rich influential people are in debt. Everyone has a debt. I do not think it is right to crucify somebody for that because you never know what someone is going through; just because they never tell you about it,” she said.
Bebe Cool has been the topic on social media following several attacks from musicians and bloggers who accused him of not paying them for the work done during the presidential campaigns.
There were claims that he used the money meant to pay them to multi-million house and a very expensive car, something that Jackie didn’t agree with.
“Did any of you help him to make the money he is using to buy his things? You people found him with his own money. Ugandans have one problem. You should wait for him. What if his family is the one that bought for him all that,” she said.

Describing him as a brother, Chandiru emphasized that he would never expose Bebe Cool if she were in their shoes because of how much he had done to support her. She credited him for financially taking care of the hospital bills for one of her sisters.
“Even if Bebe Cool takes 30 years without paying me, I can never expose him. He has come through for me when no one else did. I can not even demand him for what he has done for me. I have a different relationship with Bebe Cool and he is my brother. When I tell you that my sister is alive because of him, there is nothing I can ask from him,” she said.
