Former Cipla Quality Chemicals company worker has been frustrated by an insurance company that is sitting on her medical compensation amounting to over two million shillings (shs2,670,000/=) .
Nalukwango Rose, age 34yrs and resident of Mutungo Biina was involved in a road motor cycle accident on the 23rd January 2020 at around 7pm while rushing to working.
“It was at around 19:09hrs when Nalukwango Rose sustained severe injuries at around Bishop Cipriano primary school on her way to work around Kitintale and was rushed to near medical center”, reads report to the KCCA labour office.
“She sustained severe burns on the lower left limb from the motorcycle exhaust and was rushed to the St. Jude Medicare Center”, reference to letter no CiplaQCL/EHS/172/2020.
Nalukwango under the production department was given 10days off work while not feeling okay with her health following the motor cycle accident.
The Cipla company finance manager, Mr. Kigundu Richard forwarded the necessary medical details including the personal accident claim form and forwarded them to Britam insurance company to follow up Nalukwango Rose’s medical details file under policy no.900/092/1/00360/2017/12.
And ever since the company managers forwarded Nalukwango Rose’s medical credentials nothing has materialized and only tossing her has become the order of the day till she was laid off work last year.
Nalukwango is frustrated with life since she lost her job in October 2020 before the responsible company insurance footing medical compensation in it’s coffers.
We have highly established that the poor woman has been running up and down to reach the insurance authourities and all efforts have been turned down played forcing her to seek media attention.
“She forwarded her complaint to the directorate of gender community services and production at the Nakawa labour office to intervene thru the Nakawa Chief Magistrate Court” reads letter dated 29th September 2020.
