The Entebbe Municipality Area Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Tumusiime has vowed to whip lazy councilors and several other leaders who are frustrating government programs. Hon. Tumusiime who was addressing Muslims who attended the Eid Adhua prayers at the Masjid Al-Rahman Mosque in Kigungu revealed that the time for politicking is over and now it’s time for work. She urged all the residents to grill and report all lazy councilors.
Our focus now as leaders is to work with government to ensure that we continue fighting poverty at all levels. We are here to serve you and we shall not tolerate anyone who frustrates government programs intended to improve the social-economic well being of our people, Hon. Tumusiime said.
She thanked the Muslim fraternity for voting her during the February 18 polls and donated a goat for their Eid Adhua Celebrations.
Meanwhile Sheikh Juma Twaha who led the prayers urged the Muslims to live exemplary and transparent lives like Abraham who was ordered by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac. Sheikh Juma also urged the Muslims to love and forgive one another. Hon. Tumusiime was accompanied by the Division ‘B’ LCV Councilor Lukyamuzi Joseph, the LCIII Division ‘B’ Vice Chairman Sengendo Godfrey and several councilors.
