Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako has pledged to support the youth when elected for another term in office.
The area parliamentarian revealed at a meeting chaired by the NRM party secretary general Senfuka Tamuzadde at Kiwafu Central zone area .
Tumusiime revealed that her second term in office will be centered at pushing the youth and women groups for social and economic transformation.
She said her first term in parliament has fruits to show that she lobbied and supported different community projects including supporting women groups and the youth.
Tumusiime has supported over seventy different projects and programs in her constituency including the elderly and the vulnerable.
Several projects have been supported and these include the re-roofing of Kiwafu primary school-50 bags of cement, Kiwafu church shs-60bags of cement, Welfare school dining hall, Katabi church-shs9M, Central zone B-Shs12M, Kiwafu church-60 bags of cement, Kitubulu furniture group-shs5M, Women guild-shs5m, Muslim, women groups shs5M, Calvary church –Computer &printers lobbied 500 rice bags from the office of the prime minister during COVID.
Tumusiime’s new term will see the constituency acquire an ambulance for emergency cases including pregnant mothers and patients.
She noted that she will propose to government to modern government school in Kigungu subward and youth training centers.
She advised the youth to change their mind than begging all the time and it’s the reason why government is to take the initiative of training them before giving them developmental funds.
“Hundreds of youth have benefited in government projects and programs but the youth have nothing to show they have achieved.
Tumusiime has pledged to get the constituency two offices with one Kigungu ward and another one in central town area with a van to accessed from the office.
