    Hon Tumusiime Bails-Out Bugonga Fishermen With Food Relief

    Entebbe Municipality Member Of Parliament Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako has bailed-out Bugonga landing site fishermen and women that lost their property during the heavy hailstorm that swept the landing site on Thursday night.

    The area Member of Parliament visited the landing site and extended her supported with food relief to the fishermen and women on Saturday morning.

    This follows after heavy hailstorms swept the fishermen and women property including lock-ups, stalls and boats. Tumusiime visited the landing site  swept by heavy waves including destroying a public mosque that was constructed by Dubai based businessman Sami Haroun.

    The heavy storms swept everything from the landing site including the sand bay where he boats have been parking plus other properties of hundreds of fishermen. The landing site chairperson Namusoke Sarah thanked the area MP  for the food relief during this trial moment and called on other local leaders to come to their rescue as they are trying to forge a way forward.

    Former area councilor Achilles Kiwanuka bitterly pointed fingers at local authorities who sold part of the landing site to Indian investors that developed structures less than 200meters from the lake shores. He said that the biggest part of the landing site has been swept by the heavy storms which has forced fishermen to block-off  the main road next to the lake shores.
