Barely two weeks after a mysterious fire gutted Kitooro Market last month, another mysterious fire gutted the new Kitooro Market (commonly known as Lubiji market) in the wee hours of Saturday Morning. The mysterious fire according to eye witnesses started in the wee hours of Saturday morning at around 3am and blazed over 20 stalls mainly for food vendors to ashes. To make matters worse the Food vendors who lost property and merchandise in last month’s blazing fire were again left in tears and misery after they lost all their property and merchandize including fridges, plates, sauce pans, charcoal stoves in the mysterious fire that blazed their wooden stalls to ashes.

The frustrated vendors are pointing fingers at some dark hearted people for setting their stalls on fire though entebbenews cannot independently verify the claims. Entebbe Police fire brigade rushed to the burning market and quickly put out the fire though they are yet to issue a statement about the cause of the fire.

Joseph Mwesige the market Chairperson is appealing to RDC Kirabira to convene a stake holders meeting soon to find a solution to the fire incidents.
