Forum for democratic Change top organs have endorsed parliamentary hopeful to ride on their flag in Entebbe.
The former aviation executive is no question to stand on the FDC ticket for the parliamentary seat currently occupied by Hon Rosemary Tumusiime Bikaako of the NRM party.
The FDC giant is contesting for the parliamentary seat with several others including Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa whose party is yet making decision to rally behind him.
Walusimbi’s political ego is pushing him to contest again having participated in the previous elections as an independent candidate in a race that attracted over 13 candidates.
“He is a variable candidate with enormous potential to represent Entebbe Municipality in parliament having participated in the previous elections with political giants including Amon Reeves Muzoora (RIP), Patience Mubangizi,and Madina Zalwango all from the same ruling party.
In the 2016 general elections, Walusimbi Abubaker a new entrant in the political arena contested as an independent and garnered 1635 votes, an indicator that he performed well in the Entebbe general elections.
As the road map draws nearer for the 2021 general elections, Walusimbi has role to play including promoting women and youth economic empowerment.
He revealed that leadership is not about tittles, positions or flow charts. It’s about influencing the other in a campaign debut ‘service above self’.
He added that the smallest minority on earth is the individual and those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of the minorities.
