
The Entebbe Municipality Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) top gun Gitta Alex has learnt a bitter lesson never to antagonize the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party government. This follows after he was arrested on Thursday and detained at Entebbe Police Station over the illegal defiance demonstration. He was arrested alongside the aspiring LCIII Division ‘B’ Chairman Peter Othieno, Mafabi Adrian, Okong Tadeo, Lameck Esoma and Sebuma Emmanuel. Peter Othieno and Emmanuel Sebuma were granted bail on Friday after they presented substantial sureties while Gitta Alex and the rest where remanded to Kigo Prison where they spent the whole weekend. On Monday the Express FC Coach and former Entebbe Municipality aspiring member of Parliament together with his colleagues were granted a cash bail of Shs200,000 each by Chief Magistrate Mary Kaitesi. They are expected to report back in court on May 16 for mention of their case.
