A 40 year old fake police officer identified as Ronald Talemwa is in hot soup after he was arrested by police in Entebbe. The crafty man was arrested after he conned a one Wilbroad Kajojjo in a fake land deal. The fella used all his monkey tricks and forged a land title in the names of a one James Musasizi. The foxy fella pocketed Shs15m as part payment from the Shs35m land deal from his victim after they had toured the piece of land located in Bubuli in Mpala Zone Katabi Sub County and was convinced that the deal was clean. The poor man nearly collapsed after he returned to the piece of land with building materials including cement and bricks and couldn’t believe his naked eyes after he saw the land had been encircled with barbed wire with a sign post reading THIS LAND IS NOT FOR SALE. The poor man immediately contacted the fake police officer on his mobile phone number over the matter but it was switched reportedly off. He later discovered the true owner of the piece of land who showed him the true land title. The fake police officer has been on the run until two weeks ago when Kajojjo spotted him in Kampala and tipped off police which smartly arrested him.
The fake police officer denied the accusations and said that he is based at Jinja Road Police station in Kampala where he is deployed. Deputy OC station Entebbe Juliet Namugenyi charged him with forging sensitive documents and obtaining money by false pretence under case Ref. CRB820/2015 and will be paraded in court to answer the charges.
