Veteran Educationist and former Uganda National Examination Board top Boss Fagil Mandy has bashed all lousy and fake parents who have neglected their parenting role. The no nonsense man last week at a Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) Open Science Day function bashed parents who have abandoned and thrown their kids to the gutters. He said that some parents careless about their Children’s Education and future and to make matters worse these kids spend most of their time watching films. The veteran Educationist also expressed his disappointment to today’s kids who eat lots of pizza, ice-cream, burgers and lots of other fried stuff minus doing any exercises or even jogging around. He warned that these kids are at a risk of developing several life threatening diseases including obesity and weak brains.
The UVRI Open Science Day attracted over 1000 pupils from several primary Schools in Entebbe Municipality and Wakiso District who walked away with a lot of knowledge on several science and health related issues. The chief Guests of the day were Dr. Amandua Jancito the Commissioner Clinical Services in the Ministry of Health and Sam Okware the Director General Uganda National Health Research Services.
