
Two political giants are eye-ing each other like hyenas after a face-off in the Kampala high court on Monday.
The former Mayor Vicent Kayanja Depaul and mayor elect Fabrice Brad Rulinda are battling in High court over their political squabbles in Entebbe.
High court to give it’s final whistle on the mayoral case after former Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul dragging his rival Fabrice Rulinda in court after grabbing his seat.
The Electoral Commission (Respondent 2) declared wrong results and candidate as the winner of the mayoral elections earlier this year on 25/01/21.
The Electoral commission announced Fabrice Rulinda as the winner of the Entebbe Mayoral election a head of Kabwama Mutebi, Kayanja Vicent, Nasuna Olivia, Kawuma Muhammad & Simbwa Kenneth respectively.
The mayoral election results were announced by one Tolbert Musinguzi, a senior officer with the Electoral Commission at the Wakiso district headquarters where drama unfolded earlier this year.
And ever since the mayoral results were announced, the political steam has walked several offices including the president’s office.
The former Mayor Kayanja has hired a legal team to throw out his rival Fabrice Brad Rulinda from office.
In a face-off drama on Monday, presiding judge Isaac Muwata ruled out the earlier request by Fabrice to dismiss the case after the complainant Vincent Kayanja Depaul contesting his win.
There was a lot of question marks after the Electoral Commission lawyer Eric Sabiiti dodging court on round one of the case.
“Prepare for full blast of the case after scoring on the first hearing of the case and more bwino is to be presented to prove our case” said Maggwa Ssali also DP publicist.
The presiding judge court took a deep breath before re-scheduling the case to Friday, 17th Sept, 2021 at the Kampala High Court.
