Kakembo one of the biggest brands formerly with the Democratic Party is now milking a dead cow after the NUP secretariat opting for one Lubwama Stuart for the parliamentary seat.

Highly placed sources have revealed that the former democrat with several others including former area parliamentarian Muhammad Kawuma, former councilor Sadique Mukasa and Pastor Livingstone Jaramogi have puked-out from running any party affairs.

It’s not yet clear why former parliamentary aspirant Mbwatekamwa quit the Democratic Party for greener pastures after a 15yrs into the promised land following his political ambitions after the quitting the bank job and joining politics.

Kakembo quit the Barclay bank job and started working with Mayor Vincent Kayanja Depaul  and later parted ways over pocketing peanuts of shillings.

We have highly established that formerly parliamentary aspirant Salongo Kalle Micheal is in the lead to replace Kakembo after dropping one Juma Mukasa  for the parliamentary job.

In 2016, NRM party Rosemary Tumusime Bikaako was declared winner with 8786 votes beating her closest opponent Micheal Kakembo Mbwatekamwa (8337 votes) in a heated contest with several others including FDC’s Gitta Alex 2371 votes,Madinah Zalwango 1874votes,Walusimbi Abubaker 1635 votes, Patience Mubangizi 1063 votes,Charles Kirumira 872votes,John  Whyte Baleke 541votes,Achilles Kiwanuka 503 votes, Kale Micheal 338 votes,Amon Reeves Muzoora (RIP)212 votes, Arthur Ssenfuma 214votes and one Ambrose Kantutu 135 votes.
