Mayor Kayanja Vincent DePaul has never stopped crying crocodile tears ever since former Democratic Party diehards Kizito Ahmed, Sadiq Mukasa and a one Abbas joined the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party. The former Democratic Party Master planners have been on Mayor Kayanja’s throat and nerves ever since they joined the NRM a couple of years ago. These fellas after walking out of DP launched world war three (WW3) against mayor Kayanja and gave him a hell of sleepless nights during the 2016 Mayor Polls after they supported his nemesis Joseph Ssesanga.
These fellas have resurrected again and are fighting tooth and nail to block Mayor Kayanja from relocating the Kitooro Market Vendors to Kiwafu Play Ground for two years to pave way for the redevelopment of the Market. For the last couple of weeks these fellas have been doing lots of activities and under-ground work code-named “Save Kiwafu Play Ground” in addition to threatening to sue Municipal Council over poking and flipping it’s nose on the Kiwafu Play Ground. It’s not yet clear whether Mayor Kayanja has chickened out of the deal after he instructed the vendors to vacate the market by January 30.
