
Former Assistant Commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture Mark Robert Otim breathed his last in the early morning hours of Sunday after he lost the battle to Cancer in Kisubi Hospital where he had been admitted for close to a week. The Late Mark Otim had undergone an operation two years ago but last month the cancer resurrected again. A requiem mass was held on Monday at the Bugonga Catholic Church to bid farewell to the late Mark Otim who was described as a jolly, sincere and honest man who also loved his God. The Agriculture ministry fraternity described the deceased as a very hard working and highly disciplined civil servant who was also a good team builder. He retired in 2013 after working with Ministry of Agriculture for close to 30 years where he wrote and contributed immensely to several projects in the ministry. The late Mark Otim was a senior resident of Entebbe Municipality and was a member of the Langi Community in Entebbe. The Late Mark Otim was a committed member of the Bugonga Catholic Church Sacred Heart Choir. The deceased died aged 65 years and he is survived by two Sons. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Apac District.
