Ugandans are crying crocodile tears and bitter over the raging escalating prices of several commodities including sugar, posho and beans.* This development follows government’s deaf ear over the skyrocketing prices of several essential commodities as the 2016/17 financial year comes to an end. The paining matter is at the nose-tip of every poor Ugandan surviving the hard way and in Entebbe a meeting was organized on Thursday by several concerned residents of lugonjo Nakiwogo area and was spearheaded by councilor Kibirige Tadeo after residents made a lot of noise over the shooting prices. The residents called on religious leaders and government to come to their rescue before the situation gets out of hand. John Mugabi petitioned government to sober up and think-otherwise before Ugandans undress and riot on the streets. Sserwanda Umar Shafiq blasted government over failing to play its role in bailing out the poor man as their families are on the verge of collapse. And to make matters worse, salaries and wages are not increasing like the essentials commodities prices. The civil society has given government 10days to come out boldly and cut down the raging prices that have turned a threat.
