The Alpha Christian Church Ministries’ Pastor Lillian Kisakye breathed her last on Sunday morning at her residence in Lugonjo village, Division ‘B’ in Entebbe Municipality after battling deadly ovarian cancer for the last couple of years. The Late Lillian Kisakye died in her bed on Sunday morning while a church service was going on at the Church which is located at her residence. Close relatives of the deceased who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that the Late Lillian Kisakye has been bedridden for a very long time and has been getting treatment for the life threatening ovarian Cancer in Mulago Hospital.
A sister to the deceased who also spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that they had just bought cancer drugs for her on Friday at Shs3.8million and since that day she has been vomiting blood.
The deceased founded the Alpha Christian Church 25 years ago and has also been running the Alpha Kindergarten School in Nakiwogo. The deceased has also been the Treasurer of the Entebbe Division ‘B’ Pastors Fellowship Association.
Residents in Lugonjo and the Alpha Christian Church flock described the deceased as a God Fearing woman who always preached the gospel and had a passion for caring for the needy and orphans. The body of the deceased was taken to Emmanuel Medical center for treatment and will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Buwaya. The Late Lillian Kisakye died aged 50 years and is survived by two kids.
