Entebbe Municipality Division A Vice Chairman and Bugonga ward councilor Archilles Kiwanuka is crying crocodile tears and suffering with too much pain from head to toe after his Toyota Premio registration number UAS 013A was burnt to ashes. The vehicle was burnt to ashes at around midnight on Wednesday at the Bugonga Police post where he usually parks it before retiring to his shafting pad. The poor man pointed fingers at his enemies for plotting the sinister move to burn his ride and vowed to bring them to book. The aspiring Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament warned all the goons behind the incident that they had failed in their mission to destruct him from his political ambition. He vowed to continue with his political campaigns on foot.
The police post which is located next to Fisheries Training institute was also burnt to ashes including a motorbike, two boat engines and other personal property belonging to OC Station Eunice Kwiri and PC Jeremia Opado who were out at the time of the incident. Their colleague Job Isaac Sando sustained several injuries on both arms as he tried to put out the fire and save some items.
Entebbe Municipality DPC Godfrey Ninsiima, Regional Police Commander Siraj Bakaleke and Deputy Regional CID Officer Mugawe Rashida swung into action and vowed to set up another police post as soon as possible. They indicated that Police fire department will determine the real cause of the fire after thorough investigations. However some of the residents indicated that the fire could have resulted from the unstable electricity that was on and off.
