England has officially announced the squad numbers for their 26 players set to compete in Euro 2024. This follows the finalization of the team roster, where manager Gareth Southgate trimmed seven players from the provisional list.
Captain Harry Kane will retain his number nine shirt, continuing the tradition from the past four major tournaments. Rising star Jude Bellingham has been awarded the prestigious number ten jersey, while Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden will wear numbers seven and eleven, respectively.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has frequently been used as a midfielder by Southgate over the past 18 months, will wear number eight, signaling his likely role in the tournament. With Harry Maguire absent due to fitness issues, Marc Guehi has been entrusted with the number six shirt.
Young talents Adam Wharton and Kobbie Mainoo round out the squad, taking the last two available numbers, 25 and 26.
England’s Euro 2024 campaign kicks off against Serbia on June 16, followed by matches against Denmark on June 20 and Slovenia on June 25.
