Entebbe Municipality Primary Schools Head Teachers Association Chairman (EMPSHA) Jackson Mugwanya (Head Master Kiwafu Primary School) and Treasurer Josephine Namusisi (Head mistress St. Jospeh’s Katabi primary School)are suffering from paining heads and broken hearts after they were thrown out of office over misusing association funds for their own selfish gains and purposes. The cash hungry bosses were last week thrown out of office by the Entebbe Municipality District Educational Officer (DEO) Lwanga Sempijja after he discovered that they were just siphoning off the Association funds without doing any tangible work. For the last couple of years the two cash hungry bosses have been ruthlessly collecting Fifty Thousand shillings (Shs50,000) from over 46 primary schools and over 60 nursery schools in Entebbe Municipality meant to organize the Annual Entebbe Municipality Schools Athletics Championship. For the last six years they have been diverting the funds to their own personal ventures and secretly frustrating sports events in Entebbe Municipality. As a result for the last seven years Entebbe Municipality primary school team hasn’t been participating in the National Athletics championships due to lack of funds.
Last week the Entebbe District Educational Officer Sempijja Lwanga disbanded the Association and named a new association; The Entebbe Sports organizing committee to manage and run schools sports events with immediate effect; Archilles Lukyamuzi was named Chairman, Claire Aloko Vice Chairman, Veronica Wanyana Secretary and Josephine Nasubunga as Treasurer.
