Bugonga Catholic Church Priest Father Joseph Sebayiga has urged Christians to embrace the cross of Jesus in their lives in the wake of so many evils going on around the world including corruption, wars and terrorism. Father Sebayiga who delivered the sermon during the Good Friday mass that was held at the Bugonga Parish Church said that the cross of Jesus is a sign of God’s love towards mankind.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they disobeyed and rebelled against God but God was so merciful that he sent his son Jesus Christ who rescued us and renewed our relationship with him. Let’s embrace the cross of Jesus Christ because it is a sign of love and victory that God has towards mankind, Father Sebayiga told the congregation.
Father Sebayiga condemned those who pocketed bribes from politicians during the general elections and likened them to Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus Christ. Father Sebayiga led a procession from Bugonga Church with several prayer stopovers along circular road in commemoration of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion.
