The Entebbe Airport Guardian Services Limited Operations Manager Ssali Martin is in a hot frying pan after embezzling over Shs200m worker’s cash. The GSL top boss was on Thursday dragged to RDC Rose Kirabira’s office by 17 former staff who pinned him down over pocketing and embezzling the Shs200m meant to pay terminal benefits for over 64 former Entebbe Airport GSL Cleaning staff that he ruthlessly fired like chicken way back on December 1, 2014. The frustrated former staff who have been on Katebe for over one and a half years pestered the arrogant man to pay their benefits but he has adamantly ignored their humble plea. The frustrated former staff also pinned him down after they discovered that their NSSF accounts were empty with no cash and yet he was deducting Shs 10,000 from every Staff as NSSF Payment. To make matters worse the grieving former staff reported the matter to the Amalgamated Transport and Workers Trade Union but they have paid a deaf ear and failed to sort out the matter. In a letter dated January 13, 2016 RDC Kirabira summoned the crafty manager for a meeting in her office on January 18, 2016 to sort out the matter amicably but he arrogantly ignored her request.
RDC Kirabira got pissed off and ordered Police to put the lousy fella behind bars at Entebbe Police Station after he started foxing and fooling around with no clear answer over the heated matter. RDC Kirabira also ordered Police not to release the crafty manager until the grieving former workers fully get their terminal benefits.
