
The Entebbe International Airport cargo clearing fraternity and several residents in Entebbe Municipality are mourning one of their own Lubega Paul Mawanda (53) who breathed his last in the wee hours of Monday morning at around 6am. The Nabco Rema Cargo Clearing officer breathed his last in Nsambya Hospital after battling life threatening Liver Cancer for close to two months. The deceased was rushed to Nsambya Hospital where he died after his family and relatives failed to raise Shs 5m that was required by International Hospital Kampala (IHK) to admit him in the ultra-modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The deceased will be laid to rest in Mawokota on Wednesday at 2pm. He is survived by nine kids and two wives. The deceased loved sharing with Entebbenews how he used to share pens, books, cups and basins with Buganda Kingdom Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga during their secondary School days at St. Henry’s College Kitovu. During one of his conversations with entebbenews he revealed that Mayiga was a very principled man who feared dating girls.
