Katabi town council Mayor Ronald Giovan
Kalema is pulling ropes with the democrats after walking on their ticket to office.
The flamboyant young man and former Nkumba university guild aspirant is nursing a broken heart after democrats kicking-out of the party like a stray dog following his fight with former town chief Gerald Wilson Mukasa. Basemulekkere was kicked-out of the party organs following his war with democrats that voted him-out earlier this year during the party primaries including assaulting him.
Kalema was assaulted on the polling day by unidentified persons following his contest against one Robert Mukasa now flag bearer for the mayoral race. Kalema was sworn into office after flooring his former boss Gerald Wilson Mukasa ‘omwana wa daddy’ and NRM party candidate Richard Kiyaga in 2016.
During the swearing ceremony, Basemulekkere urged party supporters to avoid petty squabbles and hen pecking within the party for prosperity and development.

A total of seventeen councilors were sworn in at a ceremony presided over the former Entebbe RDC Rosemary Kirabira Nalongo where NRM male youth councilor Alex Kirega was elected speaker as Betty Nanyombi was elected unopposed.
Other guests who graced the swearing in ceremony included Deputy Chief Administration Officer (CAO) Masokoyi Wasswa, former Busiro South MP Aspirant Stephen Sekigozi, Entebbe Municipality Mayor Kayanja Vincent DePaul, former Entebbe Municipality MP Aspirant Kakembo Michael and several others.Watch the space#
