Media personality and musician Crysto Panda has opened up on his frequent live TikTok broadcasts, noting that they greatly affected his bookings as a musician.
Crysto Panda was once a common face on TikTok, and during his recent interview, he noted that it affected his brand as a musician and made him lose value. He explained that his frequent online presence made his fans lose interest in his music, as he was always in their faces.
“It is okay to be online, but the more you do it frequently, the more you lose value. When people see you often, they start to disrespect you. There is no excitement when you are always in their faces; they do not even take your music seriously because they know they always see you,” Panda said.
Crysto Panda says this significantly affected his bookings because his fans preferred to see him online rather than pay to see him perform live on stage.
“They had no reason to pay to see me. For someone to take you seriously, you have to have music and be scarce enough for them to yearn for you. It is okay to relate with fans, but don’t overdo it. I realized it early,” he said.

Crysto Panda’s revelation follows his ‘Champanya’ TikTok live broadcast, during which he hosted celebrities for a chat with his followers. During this time, he stepped back from music, but later reconsidered his decision because he realized he had fans who appreciated him more for his music.

He later decided to abandon his life and return to the studio. He, however, does not regret that side of his career as he feels he had to experience it because it helped him reflect on who he was and the direction he wanted to take in life.
“There is a time for everything, and whatever happened there helped me reflect on who I was, and that was not me. I had so many people who loved my music more than me being on live. Whatever happened was like a blessing in disguise because I realized it wasn’t my calling, and I decided to go back to music, TV, and radio,” Panda said
