Bosco Galiwango, a crime preventer attached to Hindu Temple Police Post in Katabi-Busambanga in Entebbe Municipality is cursing life behind bars at Entebbe Police Station after he was arrested over stealing a Samsung mobile Phone that had been kept in the OC Police Post Himbisa Timothy’s drawer as an exhibit. We have established that the suspected criminal stole the mobile phone a couple of days ago and inserted his sim card. He was netted after the mobile phone was tracked. Several residents in Katabi- Busambanga have been complaining about the crime preventer whom they accused of tarnishing Police’s image in the area because of engaging in dirty deals including extorting money from suspects.
The Entebbe Police OC CID Daniel Batte declined to comment on the matter saying that the crime preventer is still being interrogated.
