Singer Catherine Kusasira is smiling from ear to ear and bobbing high after Entebbe Grade one Magistrate Mary Kaitesi Kisakye acquitted her over obtaining money by false pretence. The bummy singer was last year dragged to court and put behind bars in Kigo prison after she was allegedly accused of fleecing over Shs1m from Water Front Beach authorities that she was supposed to deliver to Lyto Boss for his ‘Anjagala’ Song. Since then the bubbling singer has been battling the court case ever since former Entebbe grade one magistrate Susan Abinyo granted a Shs 500,000 cash bail after she was charged with obtaining money by false pretence and conspiracy to commit felon. Veteran Bakayimbira Dramactors Boss Andrew Benon Kibuuka and a one potbellied Edirisa Matovu ‘Figo’ the NRM Publicity Boss in Entebbe stood surety for the Singer on a non cash bail of Shs 50m. Entebbe Grade One Magistrate Kisakye Kaitesi last week threw out the case after there was no evidence incriminating Catherine Kusasira. Kusasira blamed all her woes on rival Iryn Namubiru whom she blamed for her downfall. The two artists have been at war after Iryn Namubiru accused Kusasira of plotting to snatch her lover man and Water Front Boss John Kassami.
