A businesswoman identified as Lydia Namwanje, 41, is feared to have been kidnapped by an unknown assailants who have been trailing her for months.
The 41-year-old woman, a resident of Kirinya zone in Wakiso district, went missing on March 28, 2025. Prior to her disappearance, she had reported to Bweyogere police station of strange people who were seriously trailing her movements but unfortunately, no action was taken to follow up on her issue.
One of her relatives told us that prior to her disappearance, she had told her about some strange people who would trail her, especially after work.
However, a source close to her revealed to us that her trouble stems from a murder case which she witnessed at the scene of murder in Kireka zone, and consequently, she was chosen among the witnesses at the scene as a key witness.
Police summoned her to help them in their investigations. The following day, she started receiving threatening phone calls from anonymous callers.
As we talk now, her family members are living in fear and uncertainty following the disappearance of their beloved relative who has gone missing for months till now.
