Hundreds of revelers who had turned up at Resort Beach Entebbe for the UG Waragi Mix Dance Party on New Year’s Day were left cursing and disappointed as Bootylicious Desire Luzinda snubbed the music concert that was organized by City Events and concerts Promoter Balaam Barugahara.
Curvaceous Desire Luzinda including other musicians snubbed the New Year music concert at Resort Beach Entebbe over unknown reasons but reliable sources intimated that Uganda Breweries Limited under the Uganda Waragi Brand failed to raise the required cash for the musicians to perform at Resort Beach.
“It appears that the Uganda Breweries Limited under the Uganda Waragi Brand couldn’t afford to pay all the thirteen artistes who had been lined up to perform. They only performed on New Year’s Eve at Sheraton and Uganda Breweries should have doubled the dime for all the thirteen artistes to also perform at Resort Beach” a source intimated to entebbenews.
It was only Jose Chameleone, Big Eye,Papa Cindy, Nice Henry, King Michael and Ziza Bafana who briefly showed up and entertained the audience including several upcoming artistes.
DJ Nimroid together with co-emcee MC Rosco kept promising the audience that was yearning for Luzinda ‘hot air’ that she was on her way to Resort Beach but at exactly 10 O’clock the duo disappeared tactfully from the stage leaving the audience in utter confusion and guessing.
On realizing that the concert had ended people started walking away one by one as they grumbled as to why the concert had ended prematurely even without Bootylicious Desire Luzinda performing.
After parting with Shs.10,000 as entry fee the revelers were still in partying mood when the concert prematurely came to an end.
Musicians who had been lined up to perform included Irene Namubiru, AK-47, King Saha, Bebecool, Pallaso, David Lutalo, Khalifa Aganaga, Sheeba, Phina Mugerwa, Jose Chameleone, Desire Luzinda, Big Eye and Nice Henry.
