A 40 year old man identified as Hakim Lule a resident of Lunyo East in Entebbe Municipality is cursing why he was born to suffer in the Banana republic after his long fingers landed him in hot soup. The crafty man was sentenced to 20 years in Kigo Prison on Monday by Lady Justice Elizabeth Alividza after he robbed a one Edison Shs 600,000 and 50,000 worth of airtime before vanishing away.
The poor man managed to identify the robber after he threatened to finish him off with an assault rifle if he opened his mouth over his sinister plots. The serial robber was pinned down in court after he executed the dirty deal in broad day light. The fella was nabbed on a boda boda in the wee hours of the morning returning home from ‘work’ by undercover cops who tracked him down for weeks.
The Judge told court that the convict wasted court’s time and he wasn’t remorseful and he had to be put in the coolers to enable people have some breathing space after terrorizing them with no mercy. She noted that robbers have become a menace in the vicinity and are giving the poor residents sleepless nights and as a result many people have lost their earned dime and valuables thus the perpetrators can’t go unpunished.
