Five Boda Boda thieves last week survived lynching by angry Boda Boda riders in Abaita Ababiri. The theft racket which includes a one Mwanje who operates a spare parts shop in Kasenyi off Entebbe Road, Sudhir who has been masterminding the dirty game, Samuel Kituntu and Henry Mulindwa were smoked out by undercover cops in Sudhir’s two roomed house laying strategies and plotting for their deadly mission. The undercover cops recovered two suspected stolen motorbikes from Mwanje’s shop after they were tipped off by a one Sarah who lost her motorbike a couple of months ago and has been quietly searching for it. The crafty fella was nabbed trying to dismantle the boda bodas into spare parts.
Mwanje denied participating in boda boda theft rackets and pinned Sudhir whom he claimed sold it to him at Shs 900,000 but paid Shs 500,000 as a down payment while the remaining balance was to be paid after Sudhir produced the Motorbike’s documents.
Sudhir denied masterminding Boda Boda robberies and claimed that he was a reporter working for Radio Ssese but when the undercover cops searched his house they recovered his photos camouflaging in army fatigue. It is suspected that he was using the army fatigue to terrorize residents while posing around like a UPDF Soldier. He claimed that he took the photos several years ago when he was still a movie actor. The crafty men were rounded up and taken to Entebbe Police Station where they will be dealt with.
