Musician Eighton Sente, the other half of the Eighton & Rain duo, has blamed Bebe Cool for the downfall of their music career.

In a live broadcast on his TikTok, Eighton Sente was addressing Bebe Cool’s recent claims, confirming that he meant whatever he said because he blacklisted their music, driving them out of the industry.

The duo was once signed under Gagamel International, and Bebe Cool used them to fight his wars with Bobi Wine then. This continued until their breaking point came after their performances in Western Uganda during Christmas festivities.

Eighton, Rain, and Zuena traveled to radio stations in the West for a week to promote their New Year’s show at the Legends Hotel. They did this without Bebe Cool, who was in a wheelchair after surviving a shooting.

After the anticipated show, Bebe Cool gave them only 500K to be split between them, which angered them because of the hard work they had invested in. Eighton revealed that this pushed them to take the bold step of pursuing their solo careers.

“We had cancelled all our shows for the Christmas period just to promote his show. At the end, he paid us only 500K and we left swearing never to work with him again,” Eighton said.

After their trip, they stormed the studio and got a call from Martin Ndijjo of Bukedde TV asking them about their split with Bebe Cool. They opened up to him, not knowing it was a conference call with Bebe Cool secretly listening in.

The next call Eighton got was from Bebe Cool, who warned him that they would soon taste his wrath for quitting his camp and boasted that he would pull all the strings to destroy careers.

He claimed that they tried paying media houses for promotion on many occasions, but later learned that he had paid triple their amount to stations not to play their songs. This frustrated Rain, forcing him to quit music and focus on other businesses because they had no money.

Eighton tried to push on releasing ‘Impossible’, and when the song went viral, Bebe Cool turned his guns on him as a person. Despite paying for airplay, his music was never played, and this went on for three years until a particular presenter opened up to him about how much money Bebe Cool was paying them not to play their songs.

“I always shot very nice and expensive videos, but every station that I paid for played my song just once. I was later overpowered and decided to give up. The problem with him is that he is the only one who wants to shine,” Eighton revealed.
