    Beach soccer Friendly Match: Uganda Sand Cranes Thumps Select Side 8-5.

    Uganda sand cranes beat select side 8-5 in a friendly match held at Sports Beach Entebbe on Saturday. Kalyowa Emma and Muganga Douglas each scored hat tricks while phillip Lwezawula and Akabwayi scored a goal apiece for Uganda sand cranes. Goals for Team select came from Ochen Ben who scored four goals while Kawawulo Isma scored one goal.

    “I’m satisfied with the current preparations and the speed at which the players are hitting the high balls. We are going to have more friendly matches in the next couple of days to help the players acclimatize very fast with the sports Beach venue” Uganda Sand cranes coach Haruna Kebba told entebbenews.

    “I’m confident the friendly matches will be useful in selecting the final 15 man squad that will take on Ghana on March 15” Haruna added.

    Uganda sand cranes will be taking on Ghana in the CAF Beach soccer qualifier on March 15 at Sports Beach 4pm and the winner of the two legs will make it to the continental Championships to be hosted by Seychelles in April 2015.
